Description

A playful take on the traditional ikebana vase, this one-of-a-kind piece is finished in a soft turquoise glaze with spontaneous burgundy-red markings that move across the surface. The contrast gives it an expressive, painterly quality that changes as you turn the piece.

The low, open form features a permanently attached pin frog inside to securely hold stems in place, making it easy to experiment with height, negative space, color, and asymmetry. Arrange just a few carefully chosen stems or create something colorful and abundant. Beautiful with flowers and sculptural enough to display on its own.

  • Handcrafted vase

  • Approximately 3x4.5 inches

  • Metal pin frog epoxied to the inside

  • One of a kind

Every Longview Studios piece is wheel-thrown or hand-built, glazed, and finished by hand in my studio in the hills south of Eureka Springs. No molds. No mass production. Just thoughtfully crafted pottery, with the subtle variations that make handmade work beautifully one of a kind.
