This watercolor came out of an August morning spent with the Plein Air Painters of Eureka Springs on the campus of the Inspiration Point Center for the Arts, the home of the Opera in the Ozarks. Though the entire 600-plus acres are beautiful, the crown jewel is the center's event venue, an angular architectural vision in the rolling hills of the Ozarks. I tried to capture the morning's first light creeping across the pillars, peaks and smoky-green windows of the building.
